A Year After Heart Transplant

Sunita looks stronger than ever, she came to the hospital on her transplant anniversary with a cake to thank the large team of my hospital.  We know that patients who cross the one year milestone following heart transplantation tend to do well in the medium term.

Sunita remains well, her heart function is excellent and we have started reducing her medications.  She is a diabetic and the cake was sugar free!
